The vehicle is a Ford Transit with a Luton body.

It is equipped with solar electric and solar thermal collectors and a roof-top wind turbine. Electrical energy from the PV (photovoltaic) panels, wind turbine and engine is stored in a 220 amp-hour battery bank and is then transformed into 230V AC, to power appliances such a micro-wave, refrigerator, lights and radio

Heat comes from 6m2 solar heat collectors and waste heat from the engine. It is stored in a 500litre hot water tank and then distributed to hot taps, a shower and a novel under-floor heating system.

The vehicle is powered by a diesel engine fuelled by bio-diesel fuel.
